GP Registrar

We are a practice that is passionate about teaching and supporting the training of nurses and doctors for general practice. Since November 2018 we have been a teaching practice for the College of GPs (RNZCGP) 

Unfortunately we currently do not have a GP registrar for 2023.

A GP registrar is a qualified doctor with several years' experience undertaking advanced training in the vocational scope of general practice.

The registrar works closely with the other doctors and may ask one of the more experienced doctors about any issues which she is less familiar with. At times you may be asked if you would mind having another doctor present during your consultation for teaching and learning purposes. You are never under any obligation to agree to this. The GP registrar is attached to our practice for 6 months before moving on to their next position.
